Research & Publication Unit

Our institution is a recognized research center recognized by Dr.

Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, Aurangabad. Our institution has an independent research and publication unit. This unit regularly organizes seminars, workshops, etc on various aspects of interdisciplinary research. It offers opportunities to not only the faculties from this institution but faculties from other institutions for participation in these seminars, workshops. Following few points highlight the way how this institution motivates its teachers to take up research in education. This unit is also publishing the quarterly journal for interdisciplinary research.  The name of journal is “National Journal of Extensive Education & Interdisciplinary Research” from last two years 8 issues have been published by this unit. Recently the unit has published their 2nd publication based on educational studies conducted in IASE at Ph.D. ,M.Ed. level entitled “A Compendium Of Research Studies Conducted at IASE Aurangabad (M.S.)In the year 2012-13 the research department has taken collaborative research project entitled “Programme evaluation of Maths Teaching” a pilot programme conducted in 30 primary schools of Aurangabad District by Vedanta Foundation & B.M.C. policy innovations pvt., Ltd  Hyderabad. This project was undertaken by the above agencies as a part of “Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan”. This unit also has taken university funded Research & Academic Activities.

Mandate-

  • To conduct research & provide guidance to DIET & support to CTE’s
  • To undertaken in depth work in specific areas including research and materials development in the areas of curriculum studies, pedagogic studies ,assessment & evaluation
  • To prepare elementary & secondary teacher educators through pre-service & in-service programme.

Goal

Development of   a professional cadre of  teacher educators with specialized skills.

Objectives-

a) Preparation of quality teacher education for all levels of school education.

b ) Capacity building of elementary & secondary teacher educators.

c) Promoting research to improve quality of education

d) Working on providing quality teaching and reading material for teacher at the secondary level.

e) Providing forum for DIET’s to learn & grow.

f) Establishing linkage between high education SCERT’s/DIET’s.

g) Ensuring the reflection of the sprit mentioned in NCF(National Curriculum Framework) & NCFTE(National Curriculum Framework for Teacher Education)in pre-service & In-service programe.
